1. The grand museumof 10 thousand square meters was put into use.

Under the leadership of the Party Committee of the university and the support of all departments and units, we’ve overcome various difficulties, completed the exhibition of 12,000 square meters of the museum and put it into operation on 26, September. With three permanent exhibition halls and fourmajor thematic sub-halls, the museum actively served the key work of the review and evaluation of undergraduate education and teaching, major reception tasks, and important academic and cultural activities of the university, and became a window to enhance the reputation of the university.

2. Yu Yi, “Educator of the People”, was appointed as the honorary curator of China Teachers Museum.

Yu Yi,“Educator of the People”, was appointed as the honorary curator of China Teachers Museum. Xing Guang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, presented the letter of appointment on behalf of the national teachers’ ethics education base (Qufu Normal University) in Shandong Province set up by the Ministry of Education. Yu Yi donated her watch and other things which are precious witness of her teaching and are kept for many years to the museum, and inscribed “Qufu Normal University builds China Teachers Museum on the rich historical and cultural soil, carries forward the teacher ethics with Chinese characteristics, leads and encourages the high-quality professional development of teachers to make greater contributions to cultivating students for the Party the country.”

3. The museum has completed the tasks assigned by the Department of Teachers’ Work of the Ministry of Education.

The museum participated in the major work of the Department of Teachers’ Work of the Ministry of Education, successfully held the second phase of the national primary and secondary school leaders’ ethics training, provided basic education services for Weixian County, Hebei Province, which was assisted by the Ministry of Education, developed a series of digital courses for teachers’ ethics education, and completed the subject assigned by the Department of Teachers’ Work.

4. The museum was awarded the “Cultural Innovation Award” by the provincial government.

The provincial government announced the winning projects of the sixth Shandong Provincial Cultural Innovation Award, and “The Innovative Practice of China Teachers Museum in Cultural Inheritance and Teacher Ethics Education” was awarded, which is a new breakthrough made by the university to vigorously promote cultural “two innovations” and build a high-level university in Confucius’ hometown.

5. The museum has received the support and guidance from the leaders at all levels and all sectors of the society.

The number of visitors to the museum reached a new high. Leaders at all levels and all sectors of society devoted guidance and strong support to the museum. Leaders from higher departments such as the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, Shandong Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Shandong Provincial Education Department, Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and Office of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, visited the museum and provided guidance, and the museum signed co-construction agreements with The Education University of Hong Kong, Weixian County, Hebei Province, and the Confucius Museum. Guangming Daily, China Education Daily, China Education Network Television and other media at all levels warmly reported the museum.

6. The research and training on teachers’ ethicsmode was applied and promoted inside and outside the province.

The training mode with characteristics based on the platform of the museum has been improved day by day. The experience was introduced at the Provincial Teachers’ Ethics Construction Conference. Two exemplary research and training on teachers’ ethics for national primary and secondary school leaders and provincial college teachers’ ethics training were successfully held, and more than 100 colleges, primary and secondary schools inside and outside the province visited the museum for training. The museum also went to four cities in Shandong including Jining, Rizhao, Jinan, Yantai and two provinces including Anhui and Hebei to give lectures on teachers’ ethics.

7. Many featured educational activities were creatively held by the museum.

Zhi Yueying, Zhang Yugun, Cheng Qiming, Fei Xiuzhuang, Cai Leiluo, etc. were invited to “Xingtian Open Class” to tell the touchingdeeds of educators and role models of teachers’ ethics; Huang Qiaosheng, former executive deputy director of Lu Xun Museum in Beijing, was invited to launch the “Co-reading Educator” activity and read educational classics; the first provincial primary and secondary school teachers teaching and educating exhibition was held in the museum; temporary exhibitions such as the works of educational rubbings were held; the group made up of university students went to the primary and secondary schools to perform the drama of the model teachers and promote the excellent teachers’ ethics.

8. The museum creatively put forward many cultural and educational platforms.

The museum successfully hosted the Nishan Forum on World Classical Civilizations, the highest level of international academic activity since the establishment of the university, and strived for the establishment of the Nishan Institute of World Classical Civilizations in Qufu Normal University, for co-organizing Public Diplomacy Forumwith the Xueye Lake, for the establishment of the Shandong Institute of Public Diplomacy in Qufu Normal University, for the support of China Education Network Television to co-build a video library of Chinese teachers, for the support of the People’s Education Press to co-construct the educator’s library, and for the support of Gu Mingyuan and Yu Yi to co-construct the educator’s study.

9. The museum has held high-level exchanges between Chinese and foreign youths.

The “Xingtan School” Chinese and foreign youth exchange course system get improved day by day. It has held more than 20 events such as the Global Youth Conference, “Huanghewan” Chinese Speaking Contest for International Youths, Northeast Asia Youth Camp, Sino-Japanese college student exchange, and received friendly people and young people from more than 60 countries to the museum, becoming an important window for the university’s and the province’s cultural exchanges with other countries.

10. A new batch of precious cultural relics have been collected by the museum

Through the launch of the Department of Teachers’ Work, donations from cooperative units and friendly people and other channels, a new batch of precious cultural relics have been collected by the museum, such as the horn and badge owned by Zhang Guimei, July 1 Medal winner, the watch, pen holder and pen used by Yu Yi,“Educator of the People”, the trophy of the National Teacher Model and the attendance certificate of the National People’s Congress of Zhi Yueying, national outstanding Communist Party member and national touching model of the Year, the national flag that raised in Tiananmen Square on Teacher’s Day of 2023, textbooks in Ming Dynasty “Zhou Bi Suan Jing” and “Confucius Shengjitu” wood carving version, examination basket and book box used in the imperial examination in Qing Dynasty.
